Beverlywood Location

Beverlywood Features

Beverlywood is a centrally located and family friendly community bordered on the north by Pico/Robertson, on the south by Palms, on the east by Mid-City, and on the west by Cheviot Hills. Beverlywood is an “incorporated community” as it has an active homeowner’s association to which residents are required to pay dues and are reap the benefits from. Beverlywood was incorporated in 1940 and has since established itself as a safe, family-oriented neighborhood, boasting well maintained homes with high values. Primarily a residential area, Beverlywood is comprised mainly of single family homes constructed between the 1920s – 1950s. In the 1960s residents fought tirelessly against the upzoning and redevelopment that was happening in the nearby regions in an effort to maintain the architectural integrity and character of Beverlywood.

This community prides itself on maintaining immaculately staged landscaping, thoughtful facades, and beautiful neighborhood parks enjoyed by children and dogs alike. Beverlywood falls into the Los Angeles Unified School district, however local parent involvement and active fundraising sets its schools apart in that their scores are high and all neighborhood schools including: Castle Heights Elementary, Canfield Elementary, Palms Middle School and Hamilton High School are each considered exceptional learning institutions. Residents of Beverlywood enjoy a close proximity to art galleries, fine restaurants, religious facilities, Hillcrest Country Club, Circle Park, Irving Schachter Park, The Museum of Tolerance, and Westfield Century City.
